Surprise birthday celebration for my old man

 Date: 06/09/2020 (Sun)

Everybody had eaten breakfast from some coffee shop before I woke up close to noon.

So this was what I made for myself.  Didn't really like the pinwheel beef cos inside the lollipop cannot be seared.  Anyway, this good plate carried me to dinner.

Kid sis helped me to collect this nasi lemak cake to save $14.90 of delivery fee.

It's kinda expensive but no choice had to pay people to do it cos I am not good in making nasi lemak and totally no confident to assemble the cake.

We "hide" it on top of the washing machine and weirdly this day PapaVoo kept walking into the kitchen, normally he doesn't.

PapaVoo had a surprise, cos all the while he thought this was a welcome dinner for my baby sis.

Introducing PapaVoo, Luis in white and Darren in orange, this is my family.

Everything I do, I do it for them.

My first time handling live lobsters, killed them in the most humane way.

Tiger grouper was very fresh, did the best I could to fillet.  Steamboat very atas lolxx...

All the Hokkaido pork and beef for steamboat.

After dinner made abalone porridge for my sisters for breakfast.
Abalones were very very fresh.
Everything from SHC, live seafood via Apollo Center.

Breakfast for son, prepared udon with leftover food from steamboat: stir fried pork with yakiniku sauce.

Continued to clear left over food from steamboat at dinner.
Spicy instant ramen, stir fried pork/beef, air fried chicken cheese balls and tofu.

Gotten some saffron from baby sis, apparently it's very affordable in Oman.
Will be reading up recipes to make good use of these.

We had yam paste for supper, it's from IKEA.  Good stuff.

Luis was into vintage key boards now.  He was about to use one after just giving it a surface wipe.
I insisted that he remove the keys to give it a thorough clean up and I had to do it with him, in the mid night, kill me >.<
