Addicted to Singapore Home Cooks purchase

Date: 26/05/2020 (Tues)



Delivery from Singapore Home Cooks (SHC) came.  The degree of happiness was like receiving parcel from Ezbuy.

Never seen grocery packing so atas.  I AM SO HAPPY!

If I never mention, who will know it's grocery, it's like branded apparel lolxx..
But indeed, Angliss it's consider a high end brand which hubby and I love way before SHC.  It's was through their collaboration we found out that Angliss have their own online store.  But it's easier to order through SHC since they have a better variety from other suppliers as well.

 Heeheehee....
I packed some breaded oysters and kimchi for my kid sis.

Dinner was a good clearing of fridge space with:
rice wine baby scallops, teriyaki chicken, and sambal tofu.
Smuggled out 2pcs of breaded oyster, yummy.

Macaroni with canned spicy 肉丁 for lunch.

I overcooked dinner, had to eat the leftovers for next day.
Had prawn omelette and plain omelette for my kids who doesn't eat prawns.  Saba fish from Donki, kimchi soup with beef.  

The star was the korean short ribs.
 

This was the best short ribs I ever eaten.  Confirm repeat order.

Kimchi soup with shabu was yummy too.

Saba fish yummy three.
Ate until sibei full.

I bought again >.<

Unboxing the burger set.
Didn't want to wait, cooked on the day itself for dinner.

The buns were so huge lolxx...
The buns were sooooooo soft and fluffy, very special in texture, something we never eat before.

I kinda overcooked the beef patties, but luckily the taste was still ok.

The potato wedges were amazing.  I think no restaurant/cafe I went to do as well as these.
It was wiped out within 5mins, so I had to go into the kitchen and do a second serving, glad to do so.

We even had dinner.  Tiramisu cake from SHC also.

Food overload posts

I had stopped buying pork chunks for years I think.  Thinly sliced shabu meat hardly goes wrong.
Lunch with shabu pork and imperfect onsen egg with konjac rice beneath.

Made simple food for dinner but still ended up with quite a bit of washing.
Luncheon meat with quail eggs supposed to be more suitable for breakfast, but who cares lolxx..

I boiled salted eggs with porridge, heat up sichuan veg in microwave.  Braised pot of everything from my kid sis.

Today's dessert from Bernice's family.

Made ban mian for late lunch.  I bought the beet root noodle cos it was pink in color.  But the moment it went into boiling water, it turned white like other noodles.  Cheat my feeling, angry.
I tried to fry some shallots but it didn't turn out the way I want it to be, ugly black black, I want golden color.

After lunch, I glued onto Singapore Home Cooks LIVE, spend over $100 for restaurant grade products.  They stopped selling "regular products" (or wet market products) and concentrate on air flown expensive seafood such as Uni, Ikura, A4 - A5 grade beef etc.  So I can't be buying from them on regular basis already.

Ta bao dinner - stir fried fish and yong tau foo.

Yam rice so good, fat die me.

I had never realise that the coil of the air fryer can be so dirty till I saw someone post on FB.
I turned it upside down for easy cleaning.  Some parts were too narrow for my fingers, could only use cotton bud.  I dare not use too much detergent in case I poison my own family.

I'll probably get a new one in near future.

Had 扣肉包 from Pin Si Kitchen for dinner, relieved to clear more freezer space for up coming grocery delivery.

Watching this drama just to kill time.
The females wore western evening gowns while males wore indian suits with round collars.  It's really weird so I don't binge on it.  I very much prefer dramas with some historical backgrounds.

Went NTUC for a short while.  Main purpose was to buy gelatin powder but it's sold out.

6 yellow kiwi with free metal straws X2 nicely with cleaning brush and a pouch.

Bought roast pork and char siew from Cold Storage again.  Came back cook rice and deep fried tofu which PapaVoo bought from the wet market in the morning.
Dinner was good.

Bitter sweet feel when your child has grown up....

Other than not being able to enjoy dinning out, life for me is about the same.
I don't like going to malls as it's really inconvenient.  I don't quite understand the purpose of IC scanning.  Though it's said for tracing, but look at the reality, how many cases are there with unknown source of infection?  Any way, not my concern.  My concern is to visit my old father as soon as phase 1 knocks in.

I am a person with very little morning, by the time I wake up, little Luis was already having his dreadful HBL.  So I squeeze everything in a small bowl for him so that he could eat while having lesson.   IKEA pancakes no more liao and no idea when is it going to reopen.

I gave myself konjac rice with the same toppings plus veg.  Luis is a carnivore.

PapaVoo came back with Pezzo Pizza for dinner.
The spicy one and nasi lemak pizza was surprisingly good though it sounds weird.

I forgotten that I needed to cook for Darren also, didn't prepare enough chicken the night before.
So I let the kids had the teriyaki chicken.

I had 2 prawns instead, 没鸡虾也好.
Supposed to be onsen eggs, I over cooked them.

My butt not doing too well.  Painful lesson learnt from previously, went to the Dr to get medication before it gets worst 破财消灾.

19 years ago, little Luis was born.  Till today he is still my baby, very close to my heart.  Now that he has a got a girlfriend, he doesn't cling onto me already.  Missed those days where I was his whole world.  But it's normal for children to "detach" themselves from parents as they grow.  When I am gone, then it will be more bearable for him too.

I was too lazy to cook, we ordered from Swenson.

The milkshakes were better than the food lolxx...

Sweet silly Eileen bought a 5inch chiffon cake as a birthday cake.
It's cute, tasted nice, but way over priced.  For $100, I can get a gourmet cake.

Prata craze

Ordered Saizeriya for lunch.
My pumpkin soup came as if it's a sauce.  But on second thought, it's only $3, can't be expecting more liao.

Chicken spinach gratin quite yummy although it didn't look impressive.

I was trying to make milk fritters.  First I did the milk mixture and I put it in the freezer, quite confident with the easy recipe.

Dinner, PapaVoo went to buy Mcdonald's, while I ate left overs from last night.

Didn't cook any lunch or dinner but still found myself in the kitchen joining the prata craze.
Made these for my kid sis.  There were ham & cheese and kaya.  Supposing milk fritter mixture failed to harden and became milk custard which I also used as fillings.

I was weirdly hungry in the mid-night, so had oatmeal.

Sleeping pattern gotten really bad, can sleep at 3am at wake up after 12pm.
For Luis and myself at a weird timing of 3.30pm.

 After that I did more prata puffs so that Darren could bring them to Bernice house.  They 1 month never see each other liao, damn poor thing.  So during this CB period got couples break up?

Our 百变 prata.  By the way frozen prata are very low in stock in supermarkets, heehee...

Cheese oozing out.  In case anybody interested, these are air fried 190 degree with egg wash, each side 4-5mins.

I also made kiwi tarts with prata as base lolxx...

After like almost one month, dish detergent dispenser came from Lazada.
Ezbuy is still better (and faster) if ordering from China.  The dispenser very atas and aesthetic looking, my kitchen looks a million dollars lolxx...

After sending the puffs to Bernice, they ta bao dinner from Wild Olive (finally, they always long queue).  They beat the queue at around 8pm.
The handmade giant meat balls were so good, seriously.

This one with hokkien mee taste in ang mo style, THUMBS UP.
Really not bad, no wonder people queue like siao.  But I still won't join the queue, heehee.... will go at odd timings.
