2 usual work days at Fort Canning.

Fri the washing machine came.  It's a 9kg sized top loader from LG.  Matches my kitchen perfectly and absolutely cool looking with LED lights.

My adorable old man actually watched it, very fascinated by the rotating drum.  He have this special child like charisma, which was how I fell in love with him.  Whenever he smiles, it's so genuine that the whole world smiles too.   And it doesn't take much to make him happy actually.  But now it really drains my energy taking care of this over grown kid lolxx...  If I should die, who will take care of you, my dear...

Date: 30/11/2019 (Sat)

Off day, had to go to visit my old father.  Close one eye 2 eyes to my own dirty dusty house.

Arrived early enough to prepare lunch.  Made steam prawns with butter garlic for the first time, looked and tasted way better than Jeju Kitchen's.

The cat occupied the long coach, so I squeezed onto the smaller one but manged to snore the whole noon after lunch.

When I was about to leave, I saw these at the stairs, I wanted to faint.  The other cat, Sappy did it.

The bird couldn't be found anywhere in the house, I......... oh gawd....... haiz..... but this is a cat's natural behavior.

Hubby came to pick me up, we went to an old friend's BBQ at West Coast.

We bought taiwan jelly over, took photos cos I would like to buy this again.

BBQ was great.  Not able to eat the salad was an agony.

No choice lah, instructed by Dr cannot eat fiber before colonoscopy.

Off day, my only free day to do housework till maybe 2 weeks later.  Yup, things were really bad at my side, 叫天不应，叫地不灵.

Cooked lunch for Luis and myself.   Stir fried udon and I made sausage in egg rolls.

We had dinner at Jeju Kitchen in Tampines One with Luis, Eileen and PapaVoo.  It's kinda my last sinful heaty yummy meal before my day surgery.

Stayed in the mall, we managed to purchase a washing machine at Gain City.  The sales rep was very friendly else we could had walked away as we didn't know much about top loads and which to chose.

PapaVoo and I gave this a try cos only a few ppl were queuing at the counter.

But then the wait was horribly long for about 30mins -___-|||

I think I found my fav bubble tea.  The konjac jelly was so yummy chewy, the aroma of tea was strong, the milk cream was so creamy with addictive saltish taste, I LOVE IT!!

No seats in the MRT, so I stood in front to watch the tunnel, couldn't remember when was the last time I did this.  It was weirdly therapeutic.

PapaVoo accompanied Darren to sell off his PMD to the government.  There's a queue even.

He spend about $800 on it but was worth only $100.  Putting money aside, if I were him, would be sad to part with it.  It was his companion for about 3 months.  Everybody talks about reckless PMD riders, but nobody talks about inconsiderate pedestrians and those who purposely block your way.  He had it all recorded in his video cam, but now that he is in the army, he no time trim and made the videos known to the public.

In Xi An China, they have a lane for PMDs and bicycles.  China is ahead of us in many ways.

Date: 24/11/2019 (Sun)

Saw a temporary booth at UE Sq selling little items at $2 each.

I bought 2 bamboo reusable straws, a brush for it and a travel cutlery, spend $8.

Hubby came to fetch me, we went Macpherson for odd timing dinner around 4pm.  We had KL style ban mian and bought prata for Darren.  I still prefer SpringLeaf 's.

In the evening, I hugged and kissed my 宝贝 Darren goodbye and let his father drive him to camp.  I really wish I can see him everyday, haiz.....

I had been sighing so much recently....

Date: 25/11/2019 (Mon)

Fried rice for lunch.  Managed to find half a tube of prawn paste in the fridge to add on.  Left over rice taken from work place.

The chap chye peng stall at the coffee shop must thought I had moved house, so long never go down.  Staying at home is the best way to conserve my limited energy.

Managed to clear a couple more items from the luggage before going to work.

Bought only one tiny terracotta army as a souvenir.

Watching 生门 in Youtube.  Only to realize that the hospitals in China were private, not funded or aided by the government.  If the patient doesn't have money, there are 2 scenarios:

1)  the doctor continue treating the patient, if the patient ran off without paying, the fee will be passed on the the dept and doc.

2)  the doctor had to stop treatment, cos he really couldn't afford to risk another bill onto himself.

It's so sad.  Docs and nurses had to slog so hard, lack of manpower and lack of resources.

This is a screenshot I taken showing a patient who left ICU and they were transporting her to ordinary ward in another building in f**king raining day, holy crap....

The documentary consists of 13 episodes, worth watching as in you can see many interesting difference.  Now I really appreciate the medical facilities and our hospitals very much.

Evening shift at Upper Serangoon.  I made time to visit Amber Ember cafe which was just 2mins walk from my work place.

Mocha (I took a big sip before taking this photo) and pepperoni cheese sandwich was $21.

This one and only meal lasted me throughout the day.

Jurong Point Jap Food Street

It's difficult to wake up in the morning as usual.  Taking a bus to Oakwood was no longer possible.  No choice, Grab over.  Hubby nagged and nagged, totally ignoring the hard time I was having.

11am was the preferred timing for lunch, I was still a little late.

Cooked the helper and my old father.

The helper isn't good with cooking and housework, but very gentle with my father.  Getting a all rounded helper is almost impossible.  You are looking at steamed egg plant topped with spicy dried shrimp, seseame oil chicken, steamed egg and porridge with corn and dates.

Hubby came to fetch me in the evening so that we could get Darren boy out for dinner.

Along the way was another car crush.

It looked so bad..... omg...

We were at Jurong Point's Jap Food Street.

It was very crowded, sheer luck to be able to find a table.

It's a japanese food court.  You can get food by queuing at the stall the traditional way or download an app and order through phone.  We chose the tech way, and watched the screen for our order numbers to appear.

Tomato cheese ramen, this was surprisingly good.  Never know tomato broth and cheese can go together.

We ordered these, the portions came in a good and filling enough, super value for money!

Generous loads of juicy beef with fluffy puffy rice beneath.

 Look at the bed of roast beef..... so damn good, highly recommended!

We bought 2 tubs of  Hokkaido ice-cream home.

Initially we wanted to buy one cone for $6.  Then we realized it's more worth it to get a tub at $15 which was at least 4 cones in quantity.  2 tubs came with a cooler bag.  So that's how we gotten 2 tubs in the end lolxx...

Reached home, turned on the washing machine which still worked but loudly.  We didn't bother to find out what's wrong, we wanted to get a new one, as soon as I could find time.

Atas chrysanthemum tea from Xi An China

Back from work, made a pot of chrysanthemum tea to go with dinner.

Bloomed so beautifully in the teapot, I enjoyed looking at it more than drinking.

Neighbour came to visit, we talked the whole night.  I actually wanted to iron that pile of clothes, so no chance liao, it's going to snow ball further...  

Now my house got plenty of china tibits don't know when can finish lolxx...
