Early reunion dinner

Cleaning the window ledge at night wasn't the best time cos I couldn't see clearly.  The ledge collects rubbish from the upper floors, so I had to sweep frequently.  Even so, a plant managed to grow lolxx....

One of the window panel got stuck, I didn't bother to oil it, I couldn't reach the plant, so I decided to leave it alone.

Chicken Cordon from Angliss which Luis asked me to buy again lolxx...

I did a shallow fried, cheese oozed out when cut.  Had it as a side dish with spaghetti.

With this flat mop, I climbed less, maybe can clean more frequently, the wall tiles gets yellow very easily.

After the kitchen and common bath walls were done, re-sealed and polished my precious black granite top.  This has got to be my favourite fixture in the house.

Had reunion dinner a day earlier.  Every year we invite PapaVoo's younger bro and sis.

Yu Sheng from Ichiban Sushi, I added a bit more sashimi from Donki.  They didn't like it cos' there were leftovers.

Pen cai from Wang Lei was very small, I added in more prawns and scallops.

I flopped my mala mini lobsters with too much water and the roast chicken went slightly stale.

PapaVoo helped a bit and washing wasn't tedious.  Maybe next year we do steamboat.

More CNY preparation

4pm at SkinLab for an overdue facial pamper.

I think I should just start to visit more often since Covid is not going away.  I am so done with keeping safe with a rotten face.

宝宝 bought me a drink, so I brought it along with me.

Had dinner at the food court.  Used to like this ban mian so much during those days working in Isetan.  The queue was still there but it wasn't fantastic to me any more.

Bought a cleanser with acid for Darren and Luis.

My sons and I discovered our new fav.

After the bathroom walls were done, there were still 2 tubes of grout whitener.  I decided to work on the living room.  It's so satisfying and kinda fun, but very exhausting.

I done about 3/4 of the area before mid night, and hoped to complete the next day.

I used to envy those US youtubers with massive pantries good enough for a local office.  I can't understand why a family of 4 or 5 needs so much snacks.  They will have more than 50 fruit bars and big tubs of cereals and more than a dozen big packs of potato chips.  Finally, I found out the reason!  These women don't cook proper meals!  Lolxx.....  They have enormous kitchen but they only make snacks for lunch and dinner.  Eg. I ever seen one put store bought bread with ham and cheese and that's for dinner.   They don't eat steaks, they don't bake whole chicken, no pasta, no noodles, no mashed potatoes.  So these ppl are basically never full after lunch or dinner, no wonder they need so much snacks throughout the day!  Laugh die me, but I think that's their culture.

3rd time ordering from the same seller in Shopee.  Gotten grey, navy, black and I itchy backside bought bright pink cos it's on offer.

Almost the whole living room's grouts were done.  I used every drop of the paste but was still left with a few grouts, 不够就是不够。Can only do after CNY liao.

Flex tape arrived.  The kitchen and common bath ceiling were taped.  The transparent tape still could be seen but it did it's job well.  So far has been more than 2 weeks, no more dripping.

Butt bleed again, so I made fruit juice again.

After that I clean the dryer's filter, so dirty, oooooooooo.......

Angliss came, 宝宝 unload for me.

The whole fridge full liao.

Put on the fortune cat table cloth, so cute.  The transparent PVC PapaVoo bought was good too, didn't affect the appearance of the table cloth.

House proud, though not much visitors.

A lot done, but more to do after CNY

There's a lot to do but I was still out.

Flashed screen shot of Wang Lei and Mark Lee to redeem a bento at about $14 instead of $17 or $19, couldn't remember.

Ate around 3.30pm and didn't need dinner lolxx...

After this I walked around to look for yu sheng, at the end I settled with Ichiban Sushi's.

Bought ta bao dinner for everybody and waited for PapaVoo to fetch me back.

Date: 21/01/2022 (Fri)

Out again.  Finally found jelly in GIANT.  I didn't mange to find any the day before in the entire Tampines Centre somehow.

Moved on to IKEA, the red placemat was back in stock.  I also gotten some rugs to put on the washing machine and dryer.  Going to give the laundry area a mini makeover but will be after CNY.  Too much in hands recently, very breathless.

PapaVoo came to pick me up and we had dinner at the nearby coffee shop.

They served with Doraemon plates, laughed die us.

Average Curry fish head, good thing that we didn't need to clear the table.

The big clay pot was heavy, if we dropped and broke it how?  Luckily the regulation of clearing own plates not too rigid.  Anyway I will just avoid eating in hawkers and coffee shops.  If one day I get back to work, I will ta bao back to office.

The tibit tray looks instantly nicer with the red placemat.  The taiwanese jelly looks very festive too.  I kept most of it in the fridge and these few on the tray for "decor" lolxx...

We were trying to sell off all these liquors to a buyer but no luck.  We thought he wanted anything but ended up nothing haiz.....  So they were back to the TV cabinet top to collect dust.  Will try Carousell after CNY.

The top of the TV cabinet is always a nightmare but it's so difficult to climb up and down to get it clean frequently.

The clock dropped so it's resting here.  PapaVoo said that he will hang it up, it took him quite a while to get it done.  The joke is, what he did was letting the clock in this same position resting on the cabinet with a hook behind ie.  we can only see about 1/2 the clock.  So I have another thing to do after CNY, maybe hang somewhere else.....

I tried to remove the old window films, it was too tedious, not worth the effort.  I found some adhesive remover online, not sure if they will work and I had to put this off after CNY as well.

Instead, I used the time to finished off all the walls in the bathroom.  We removed the bathroom mirror to get it done and placed back the next day after the tiles were cleaned.

I told him to buy another mirror, he preferred to do it after CNY.  Oh gosh.... my "after CNY" is just getting longer and longer.

No country is going to let us in......

I love soon kuey and rice kuey, he didn't like them so he seldom buy for me.

Once my late morning fuel was filled, went to clean his vehicle.  I wasn't too bothered with outside but he was, so he played with water and soap while I wiped inside.  The interior was covered with dust, it was gross to the max, I should had done it earlier.

I cooked dinner, black pepper chicken with spaghetti, quite a productive day, I am proud of myself.

I made pancakes.  I think the non-stick surface of the frying pan is wearing off.  I knew it's not going to last after the first time using it.

I took out the wooden tray to keep all the CNY tibits so that the tubs wouldn't be all over the house.  I thought of buying the red placemat from IKEA again.  It would be nice on the tray with the tubs.

Time to work on the biggest piece of wall in the house.  This wall faces the main door, other than the standing fan, there's no furniture against it and it makes the small living room looks really big lolxx.... cheat big time.

I swear that I bought white but it turned out light purple, so I had actually kept this big roll of wall paper in the store room for more than a year.

It's almost the same shade as the existing wall except that the old walls were kinda yellowish.  I'd probably will wall paper the whole living room but I am not sure if it's enough.

The bright purple is wall paper, the white and greyish are old paint.  But in real the greyish looks almost the same as the newly applied wall paper.

The mini pineapples were cute and sweet as well.  4pcs only $2 bought behind Bugis Village.  A few days later I saw NTUC selling $4+.

I any how made into pineapple fried rice for dinner, so good.

I had earned lots of experience after doing the bedroom, so I know wall paper will crease if there's grooves on the wall.  We left the grooves alone until now, I had to plaster them.

All work done by me, alone.   Although climbing up and down the stairs was pretty tough, I don't need him any more.

Expensive parcel came, this bottle will last for one good year.

Peanut butter love letter gone lolxx....

Extra fairy lights came.

Looked really good.

After the wall paper was all done, we done with the wall decors.

With these, all CNY decors were done and I started to do more cleaning.

Headed to IKEA to get the red placemat but it was sold out, wasted trip.

Dinner with PapaVoo at a coffee shop nearby till the stall close.

We bought lots of drinks at GIANT, had trouble storing them as always.

My storeroom totally cannot walk in now.  I kinda dumped everything onto the floor, I had 2 big trays of thermal bags and paper bags.  I love to keep them, I had previous threw away so much and now they are back, more than I had thrown off lolxx....
