Before CNY

Went Uniqlo gotten some home clothes, nothing fancy this year.  Then to NTUC to get some side ingredients for steamboat.  Didn't have a shopping trolley with me and the bags were heavier than expected.  So I sat at the food court and wait till PapaVoo came to my rescue.

I had 1hr to kill.  While waiting for him, I bought mineral water and a cup of cut rock melon, watching Mr Queen.  I must had looked like an idiot cos I was at the verge of crying when the queen saw what the king wrote in their unborn son's diary.

Had malay rice, you are looking at sambal stingray and stir fried cabbage hidden behind.

Tofu telur very huge, couldn't finish, wished there were more eggs.

Delivery from You Tiao Man came faster than expected.  I thought delivery was after CNY.

Totally defeated by the bulkness, freezer no space, had to leave some in the chiller.

Date:  09/02/2021 (Tues)

Ber came with a box of bak gua, happy.

Made her and my son sandwiches for lunch.

Our Ber helping out in the kitchen.  It's so nice to have her around, we could have some girls' talk.

She's really neat, did a better job than me.

Mega prawns from Angliss.

Instead of steamboat, we had BBQ.

The prawns were so big that they took forever to cook.

Topped with cheese and mentaiko, wanted to torch but the torch died on me.  So I send the prawns into the oven grill the topped with tobiko.

Braised abalones from Angliss was awesome.

PapaVoo and I drank 3 cans of Snowflake.

We had done BBQ before, I knew the floor would be sticky, normally 2 or 3 rounds of mop would be cleaned.  But this time, not sure why it was really really bad.  I asked Ber to wash her feet and wore her slippers straight away before leaving.

Was really exhausted after 3 rounds of mopping, could only continue the next day.

Date: 10/02/2021 (Wed)

Neighbour woke me up with gifts.

PapaVoo brought these home from office.

Another year with abundance, we are very fortunate, I think most Singaporeans are right?

I woke up and went NTUC.  It's crowded, but everything was smooth.  My queue at the cashier was less than 5mins.

However couldn't find a single bottle of sweet sauce and chilli padi, so I had to make another trip to Prime.  I managed to tug all bags home with Darren giving me a helping hand at the bus stop.

Since 3 rounds of mopping didn't help, I decided to soap the floor.

Ideally, I should be wiping the kitchen wall tiles or packing the storeroom, but I ended up draining all my energy onto the floor, haiz....

Had to ta bao dinner despite of the bursting fridge.

Took out all the goodies, CNY was coming no matter was I ready or not.

Abalones before CNY

PapaVoo bought soon kway, it's his lunch, my breakfast.

Both kids not home, I gave the old man 2 options for dinner:

1) ta bao

2) instant noodles

He opt for 2, everything was put together in about 15mins.

Can't see noodles here, all covered with veg, Japanese char siew and mala abalones.

Must show the noodles lolxx...

My mouth was numbed for at least half an hour after eating.  My stomach started to burn, followed by the ass the next day......... so spicy but so yummy....

Trying to do as much as possible before CNY

My master bath is a eye sore but the thought of going through the hassle of renovating it is another sore.  I can't decide which sore is worst.  Anyway, the doors at the vanity counter dropped off quite sometime back.  All these while I was waiting for Daiso's short curtain which never came.  By chance found it in Shopee.  The bath room is still an eye sore, but slightly less hideous now.

I also shorten the living room's curtain by simply cutting, tape with double side then iron over lolxx...

Drinks from Shopee came, each carton was about $2 more expensive then outside >.<

I cleared off the blue berry tea bags from the pantry by making a big flask.

I wanted to pack the storeroom, put all Luis's cosplay costumes in one place and Darren's uniforms all in one place....... don't know where to start from.  Haiz... take it easy lah, maybe will do slowly during CNY.

Luis and I slept until 1pm heehee....

I made him meat balls pasta while I had lasagna.

Angliss delivery came with this, so sweet.

10pcs brine abalone $12 nia, so I bought 2 packet.  Prices dipped a lot this year.

Everybody was home, so I made dinner.

Macau pork chop from Angliss was really good, but this time the sauce was very salty.

Same old minced meat potato to please the kids.

Bought peach flavor pineapple tarts from 宝宝's company, it's almost half gone now.

Life revolving with food....

Luis like raw egg, so gave him one.  The 出前一丁 broth was weird.  Luis wasn't picky.

Darren more difficult to please, I made him a dry version with my own sauce.

No Japanese char siew, but I air fried drum sticks for them to go with, didn't take pic.

Almost every day got delivery, this day sparkling tea came.

Tried a bottle, find it refreshing, thank god hubby don't like, so I can have more of it, heehee....

Kids not home, made simple dinner for old man who came back around 8pm.

Pre-cooked herbal chicken from Angliss.

House no rice lolxx... so made mee pok with macau pork chop from Angliss.

Glad that he enjoyed the lunch.

I wasn't feeling well the whole day, chest pain which eased off after a nap.  We went to Salvation Army to drop pre-love items then to Changi Village.

Even the thai milk tea is great!

Food is really good here, but have to avoid on weekends.

Bought Thai ice cream and China beer, next time will post pics.

Breakfast alone, finished up the salty salmon chowder, poured the remaining egg into a pan after brushing the croissants to bake.

My first time making an egg stand and succeed on the first try.  As in I put it on the table, it stood there already.

Happy 立春。

Wasted trip to IKEA, website say have, went to the store the item out of stock, na bei.

Went Tampines Yaowarat to have dinner.

Nice ban mian.

Thai kuay chap.

Kinda heart-pain to order this, it's so expensive.

Not a fan of intestine, but let him order cos he love it.

Hello Feb

I woke up and saw my poor cat on the wall, as if pinned by a police.

Hubby was trying let it catch as much sunlight as possible lolxx...

Then change position.....

Put at window when sun rays were leaving... lolxx.... this cat.

My kid sis's bought X2  frozen seabass for $10, she gave me one.

I took the risk to steam it.  It tasted soooooo fresh!!  Rubbing sesame oil on the fish did the trick.

Forever have to deal with leftover rice.  I did pan fried rice cake then brush with yakiniku sauce.

Had salmon chowder (from IKEA) also.  Oh gosh it's so salty >.<

After brunch juice orange, apple, grapes, carrots and tomato.

So much work, made only one flask, 4 of us each one glass nia.

Old man and I ta bao mala for dinner.

My post in Donki page caught more than 600likes, best "achievement" in my whole life lolxx....

Lunch, made gyudon for the kids.

Felt emotionally drained, I washed up half way and went out.

Walked from shop to shop around Tampines Central, didn't find any suitable apparel to buy.  Why every time like that de, no intention or occasion to buy clothes, see everything also nice.  Really in need to buy, every piece also not nice.

Found white containers from Daiso, but missing the covers.

Bought the containers anyway, will try to get the covers next week hopefully.

Took bus to St 81, had Starbucks while waiting for foot massage appointment.

Happy me.
