Why is my house so dirty and messy...

Coffee to start the day, actually I start so late sia, at 3pm, ooops.....

I finally started with the toilet which I had put off so long, but once I started, I regret not doing it earlier!  Scrapper off old mouldy silicon with scrapper, pen knife mostly and sometimes my own nails.

Previous I had 2 white strips to cover each side of the entrance, it's hideous after pulling them away, revealing the mould.  Not only the sight but it smells and I had to wear a mask before the mould pores gets into my lungs.

Had been watching ang mo decorating their big houses, even the smallest house was like triple our size.  I want the tapestry which I managed to find in both Lazada and Shopee.

But will decorative stuffs clutter our already small space?

Made lotong for dinner.  It's my second attempt, great improvement but still need to improve.

The house was in a mess and these were just some areas.

I am living with grown ups, it's hard to explain to outsiders how dirty and messy the house can be.  Dinning table and beds are forever dump areas.   I had tried not doing the beds to see what will happen, and guess what?  They slept with their dirty clothes, socks and power banks.  For tables, they will pushed them all on the floor when they need to eat on the table.

WCs are forever dirty, no birdie admit poor aiming.  Laundry gets piled up within a few days and they will dig into the pile when there's nothing to wear in the wardrobe, but that rarely happens.

I know most ppl keeps their daily dishes on the drainer, then it became a permanent storage and they buy another counter top drain rack.  I just have to clear them and put them back into their respective drawers or cabinet.  I can't bring myself to wash and put wet cutlery and stuffs on clean dried items.  I have no idea how others do it.  I am probably stupid but I can't help it.

It's one of those days where I felt overwhelmed and I didn't know where to start.  After spinning like a top for an hour, it was as if I did nothing at all.

I don't know how ang mo can decorate their kitchen with flowers and photo frames.  I know big lah but not oily meh??  I think they just throw everything into the oven, they don't normally use the stove ba.... But when they show off their massive pantries, they got more spice bottles than me wor.   I don't quite understand the culture.

Anyway, today really no cook, Darren ordered D'Stuff and I had this box for both lunch and dinner, really a lot sia.

Sinful sneaked out night waffle.

It's Deepavali, a public holiday which we don't celebrate and didn't mean anything with a pandemic to live with.  I either step out and kena or my boys brings it back to me.  Although I am fully vaxed, I may still die from it.

PapaVoo bought KFC breakfast, my sweet boy actually left half for me.  Added in dying avocado.

I don't know how to put on this coffee properly sia, whatever...

PapaVoo's instant noodles for early dinner.

This was a last min dinner for Luis topped with jap sweeten tofu.  Everybody eating at different times, I cooked different stuffs to clear off those leftovers in the chiller.

Had chocolate cake for dessert, I dare not weigh myself lolxx...

I had big bear squeezing in bed with me.  I think I want to buy a breakfast tray to put my silver slate in bed.

PapaVoo bought me this duck rice, it's not braised, not roasted obviously, not sure what it was but it's surprisingly delicious.

Not sure what else I did the rest of the day lolxx...

Another order from Wang Lei sharing half with PapaVoo's colleague who doesn't have PayNow (seriously)....  This is how old ppl lagged behind the world.  Am I lagging also?  I don't have TikTok.

Pickle mangoes to die for, absolutely addictive and I am in love with the aesthetic appearance.

I made satay (marinated from SHC) and yong tau foo soup for dinner.

We had dinner around 6pm and mouth itchy around 10pm and nothing in the fridge, actually have lah lolxx....

Anyway, we sneaked out to Around Cafe, it was less than 5mins drive.

10pm but quite crowded hor.

Some soda.

Very nice waffle with sea salt ice cream.  I like the buttery aroma, crispy on the outside and so soft inside, happy.  We ta bao one with ice cream for Darren.

Halloween without Halloween

Sending my uncle off in noon.

But I had to stop here cos I don't like the viewing room which brought me too much grieve.

Little Ber came for dinner and I made her a big bento totally forgotten the giant scallops in the chiller.

My chawanmushi is getting better and better.

Dessert, I had this cute little lemon meringue Ber brought.  Not sure the little "ghost" was intended or an "accident".

This pre-cooked redang beef was from SHC, not bad but not spicy enough.

Anyway, it's life saving, lunch done for the kids.

There are numerous forgotten areas in the house, such as the top rail of the shower partition.  It's disgusting, I will tear down the partition if I can.  It's so annoying, so difficult to clean and most of the mould are actually accumulated around it, urrrrggggg.......  But then again, I had heard shower curtains are equally difficult to maintain... 

My life.....

This was another cake Ber brought, had it for dessert after dinner and it's sooooooo nice and light, yes, light.

Made aglio olio for the kids for lunch, I had something else but I couldn't remember what.

Dinner I made scallops and clam pasta for PapaVoo and myself, the scallops were so delicious!!!

千辛万苦 we finally gotten pickled guava and sea salt cake from Wang Lei.  No easy to get these items as they are always out of stock sia, and we know why, cos it's FREAKING DELICIOUS!!!

We finished the one tub of guava and the cake the very next day, so addictive.....

The pickle guava helped my digestion, like like like.

Had otah buns for breakfast, not the best but good enough.

Didn't cook dinner so I made some ice-lemon tea.  Thinking that the ice sphere will fit but it didn't, so it was stuck there for a long long time until I managed to take it out and rinse it with water to shrink it a bit lolxx.....

After dinner, washed up and also deep clean the hood.

However, it's still oily.  I probably will buy new panels to end my agony since they were used 3 years.

I hate cleaning the hood.

First meal of the day at 3pm, my unhealthy lifestyle.....

Anyway, coffee was great, so was the gula melaka chiffon cake from Angliss.

Still feeling dead, decided to something less physical, paper litter bins with IKEA's out-dated catalogue.

As the paper was thicker, they looked prettier than the previous batch I did, so satisfying.

Not cooking dinner, but was still had my time in kitchen to do juicing.

I was having apples, oranges and carrots.

Had the juice with dinner which I drank from the dispenser straight after pouring out for the boys.

I find it disgusting when they sounded so surprised, wasn't it expected?  Light at the end of the tunnel indeed......

Little Ber received the bouquet, I wished they put in more baby breath, but overall not that bad.

My uncle passed away peacefully in his sleep, at least I made it to see him a couple of weeks back.

PapaVoo bought prawns noodles.  Noodles from this stall was very tasty even after a few hours.  Only from this stall, noodles from other stalls will started to smell and the texture would be beyond edible.

Buyer came to pick up the carboard, they were very young at their elder 20s.

They came with a car which they had difficulty in loading.  PapaVoo was very helpful, ding ding dong dong for almost an hour before getting this big thing into the car.  Initially I was all prepared for them to bring it up again and refund the money lolxx...

We headed to the wake in late afternoon after the delay.

We went Summer House at Seletar AeroSpace for dinner, I liked the ambience here.

Moscato.

They were so good with their pasta.

However my home cook steak wins over their's.

Soft shell crab pizza which we ta bao half home.

Nowadays I dine out for the ambience, it can be very frustrating when my home cook tasted better and we had to pay so much.

Summer House has a very nice garden.  PapaVoo wanted to leave ASAP, he forever in a hurry for no reason in particular.  I told him we had paid for the ambience and this garden.

I took some selfies but I looked horrible, so this was the best pic I had.

I wanted to blog about the 31st but I am running out of time, so yeah, that's all for now, will be back of course.
