My father made it out of the hospital in the afternoon. 不幸中的大幸, we had reunion dinner with comfort at home inviting hubby's bro and sis over. Almost had to stay in the hospital and skip this reunion.
We ordered a 5pax set meal with extra order half chicken, home cooked a big omelette topped with jap dried shrimps and some boiled dumplings.
Eveybody's taking less rice nowadays.
Delicious pen cai but going slow.
This was a crowd pleaser, for so many years, this has been so good.
After dinner xiao gu helped to wash up and we sat in front of the TV laughing and talking nonsense.
Already have the same pot from previous year, I gave this to hubby's office helper.

I cleaned all the dusty electric fans, I asked him for help, he didn't bother, I was really pissed off. He just sat and rot. When he finally couldn't stand the boredom he suggested movie. Complained expensive but still went ahead.
Watched Donnie Yen's Fat Dragon, had Pasta Mania before going home.
My father is stable now, so I proceeded with my Tokyo plans. Luis had confirmed to join me.
After some research on Narita and Haneda airports, I chose the later. Jetstar only goes to Narita. Scoot goes to Haneda but the price was equivalent as SQ.
The cheapest available happened to fall on the dates I wanted. Booked flight 21st Mar and back 30 Mar. Online says sakura is blooming early. Overwhelmed by the cheap fare of $870, only to realize that we will reach Tokyo at 1.00am. All train and bus service stopped by this time, taxi probably cost about $200 over. I tried to salvage to situation by trying to book a capsule hotel in the airport but it's fully booked fml. We will try our luck to walk in when we reach, else we will just have to sleep over in the airport till the public transports starts operating.
Was wanting to ask PapaVoo along, but sleeping in the airport is not his thing, so I left him sulking. He wasn't too happy about my trip, I told him I can't afford to wait for another year to see sakura, my legs are dying on me, he didn't hear a word I said.
I am battling with my overweight, my leg pain, my sensitive stomach, my piles and my cyst. Doctors after doctors, hospitals after hospitals, all didn't seem life threatening, all seemed minor, but pulls me down very very badly..... but nobody knows. Never mind.... as in my health won't turn pink overnight. Battle goes on....
Back to Tokyo, with less than 2 months from the flying date, next urgent thing was accommodation. But in order to book the accommodation, I had to outline the itinerary, needed to race with time.

Luis' gf brought her cat Timothy over. It sooooooooooo freaking CUTE and FLUFFY!!!! So I was distracted the entire day having this fur ball walking around the house. He brought so much joy to the house!
Sooooooo adorable.........
I whipped up simple dinner and bought pork knuckle from Cold Storage.
Cola chicken tasted better than it looked.
Time for Timothy to go back home at night. Awwww... how I wished he could stay....

It was a busy day. Went Oakwood to celebrate my father's birthday. He looked much more alert. My kid sis only invited a few nice relatives, glad that we don't have to deal with toxic ones.
After that, brought 4 kids along, our sons + their gfs to house visiting nearby. Then we went to Eileen's relative's farm at Lim Chu Kang. They were so warm and friendly to bring us around.
My happy children.
Quails farm for quails eggs.
Eileen holding a baby.
These were still wet from the eggs.
Warmers for drying beansprout husks.
Tried the sweetest and crunchiest beansprouts ever.
We went IMM for dinner hoping to get into HDL but there was a long waiting queue so we had Bak Kut Teh instead.
Never had such enjoyable outing for so long.
