Darren bought me breakfast at 10am and insisted I eat them while hot.
So I ate in a daze and went back to sleep.
I understand how some hawker/restaurant started out good but after a while food standard started to drop. It's human nature trying to find shortcuts for a easier way out.
I didn't cook my daishi broth to let the daishi powder fully dissolve. So little specks were like freckles on the smooth chawanmushi. Shouldn't had been lazy, I was just a step away from restaurant quality chawanmushi.
Nevertheless, my newly bought cups from Daiso was really really good, so were the Ikura from Angliss.
Grilled teriyaki chicken chops didn't work for me, slow pan fried was still better.
After grilling the chicken, I popped in the hamachi collar. This time I used a different salt, the tray had oil and moisture from the chicken, so the fish didn't turn out well. Luckily the fish itself was tasty, even though I screwed up big time.
I die die need to get the noodles, yes, both.

Lucky for those few of you reading this. Introducing the BEST spaghetti I found.
This is how it looks like, bought from Donki.
I had tried a few brands, also bought italian pasta from Angliss, none can beat this.
The texture is amazing, seemed to cook faster also. I am going to stick to this for a long long time if not for a life time lolxx...
The plating looked a mess but it wasn't my intention.
I did perfect lamb chops and a steak, way better than that restaurant we went last week.
It took me a long time get the correct amount of salt to add onto. Basically for western chop, salt grains have to cover every mm of the surface on the slab of meat. It's very scary at first, cos I had never use so much salt in chinese/japanese cooking. Salt draws in other marinates, without salt, you can add in a ton of other spices but the meat will taste bland as if you added nothing. That mint jelly was great with a lamb chops.
First time trying pesto sauce, didn't quite make it for the family.

Dinner. Hokkaido meat balls with leek.
The meat balls were $10 for 3 packs in Donki I think. Highly recommended, we had these in steamboat and it was awesome too.
Lala in chilli crab sauce from WangLei. Seriously good sia, it's a steal.
I cooked a little bit of rice as a backup, didn't eat any at the end. The little buns were good enough.
Luis came home and I steal this from him.
