Feeling lazy any how cook

I was trying to do egg crepe but ended up like omelette leh.  Supposed to wrap the chicken shreds with crepe de...... any how eat lah.

Laugh until teeth drop $30 bundle bought from Angliss.

The bundle came with a bento box which Tott sell about $12, shime saba regular price about $6, breaded shrimp about $5 or $6, red bean mochi disguise as peach about $10, chicken strips not sure, about $5 or $6?  5 items $30 is a steal!!!  Waaahaaahaaahaaa....

Any how cooked dinner, supposed to be for 3pax, Darren cancelled his dinner appointment without telling me.  Just eat lah sia.

Blanched sprouts, deep fried potato with cheese and ham, mala tofu with minced pork and abalone (very power, set me on fire de...)

Any how make dinner for kids.

After so many attempts I think dry noodle sauce is best with oyster sauce, light sauce, tomato sauce and lard oil.

Darren went work before I woke up, PapaVoo went early lunch with friend.

Luis and I had rice cake with roast chicken from Cold Storage.  My kid sis very silly, bought freshly roasted chicken to chill, sigh...... after a night, it's no longer as juicy.

The fridge is not empty but I already dun know what to cook for dinner.  So though my little Ber was here, we ta bao dinner.

Successful army stew and flopped korean steam egg.

Lunch, cooked teriyaki salmon.  Should had made butter herb salmon instead since the kids don't really take cooked salmon.

I deep fried a few potato cheese balls and the last few piece of karaage chicken.

PapaVoo last min took half day leave, I gave him 2 choices: rot at home or go watch movies.

He chose the later so we were at Downtown East again, bought tix for End Game just to see Andy Lau.  Why he so handsome, why still so handsome omg......

20mins tea break before movies.

The story was very old school, nobody will watch it without Andy Lau.

Wanted to western at Astone, at 8pm still got long queue, so we settled at OMooMoDon.

Beef bulgogi.

Steak with brown rice.

Used to love the food here.  But now nothing fascinating since I can do the same at home.

I was like, cooking non-stop the moment I opened my eyes.  Made a big plate for Darren before he went to work.

Then I steamed myself a few soon kuay.  PapaVoo and Luis ate out.

After laundry and laze a bit, went to Oakwood to cook for my bro-in-law.

There were so much to carry over, should had requested them to come over instead.

Their last army stew was a few years back in Korea.

Glad that my cooking had brought back memories, I was actually quite impressed by myself lolxx...

Seafood pancake from Angliss.  My first attempt on korean volcano steam egg failed, so no photo.  The taste was still ok just that it was like an airport track instead of a volcano lolxxx...

Dinner was great.  I was trying not to miss out anything but still left a few items forgotten to bring home.

Brought Luis and 宝宝 to Sushi Tei to have a nice CNY meal.

You are looking at tuna, yellow tail and salmon sashimi.

Mini mango prawn roll.

Very nice mild spicy broth.

I still have ikura in freezer sia.

No intention to cook dinner, these were prepared very last min for old man and myself.

Some people don't agree on frozen food, little did they know restaurants they also use frozen food de.

So dinner was fixed in less than 15mins.

Scallop on siew mai very small, but taste still good.  The jade teow chew dumplings really sweep my feet away, crazy yummy de...... from my beloved Angliss.

Charcoal otah you tiao not photogenic but were really tasty, from You Tiao Man.  Their prawn chee chiong fun ok only.

This plate from Swee Choon via SHC.  I pan fried their carrot cake and their signature mee sua cake.

Crispy outside and soft inside, enjoying Swee Choon at home was damn shiok.

Luis was too full for dinner, however requested for supper.

Made him mini pancakes kiap with nutella, cheese and jam.  I am so clever, heehee...

Still cooking in a lazy way

Mantis at the door for a long long time.

Still clearing steamboat leftovers.  Dinner was steamed grouper slices with garlic chilli oil (looked a bit ugly but tasted ok), stuffed portobello with minced pork, spinach egg drop soup.

If wear this go out police will catch or not?  Oh... I forgotten I got a police at home, I go ask him lolxx....

This auntie don't know how long never eat in restaurant liao lolxx...

What' so surprising veg more expensive than meat?  Meat can be frozen, green veg die on you within a few days.

Breakfast cum lunch, coffee with you tiao.

Luis suddenly came home, hungry.  So I fried rice with teriyaki chicken cubes for him.

Dinner stir fried udon with vegetarian char siew, can easily tell this is the way a lazy person cooks lolxx...

CNY Day 2, very bo hua when a supposed holiday falls on a weekend.

Pea brain can't remember what I ate for brunch.

I cooked dinner trying my best to clear off the leftovers from the steamboat.

I did an egg roll with moo ping, a bit ugly, but taste fab.

I actually kept the broth from the treasure pot and boil a pot of bean skin rolls + abalones + prawn paste + mushrooms + baby cabbage, yumz...

I forgotten it was Valentines' till the day was over.  Kid sis organized a lunch with some elder relatives keeping the head count legal of course.  She made a blunder by putting roast/steam chicken and her roast meat that she collected in the morning in the fridge.  After being chilled and microwave all meat tasted as if they were leftovers.  Felt bad that I didn't help her enough, but again she wouldn't let me....

After lunch, we went for Diam Diam Era 2 at Downtown East.

The basement was my kind of shopping heaven with Phoon Huat, Daiso and Mr DIY at one stretch.

Looked for dinner after movies.  Better restaurants had long queues, wanted the cafe he said I do better burgers..... Indian restaurant he said menu not interesting..... urrrg......  sicken enough, I wanted to go home and eat air.  Saw Crave Nasi Lemak before stepping into the carpark, so just ta bao back.

My hands are very depressing to look at, no manicure never mind, got scar liao.

Right hand kena hot oven, left hand bang on kitchen door and it's still a bit painful when touched.

Missing PapaVoo cos he went back to work.  My boys and their gf during lunch.

All were so happy and lively at the table.

I prepared teriyaki chicken (pre-cooked), garlic bread and lotus rice (pre-cooked) all from Angliss.

It came with 4 salted yolks omg...

And abalones!

I spend the afternoon wiping the kitchen walls with no intention of cooking dinner.  Good thing I did the cleaning, didn't realise the tiles were so yellow.  

Ate out for dinner.  Wanted Sushi Teh very much, they didn't accept our reservation but it was impossible to walk in.  Ate here, food was my kitchen's standard.

They overcooked their onsen eggs just like the way I do lolxx...

Reunion and CNY

CNY eve, my breakfast, his lunch.  Prawn rice rolls and you tiao from You Tiao Man.

Taste ok, but no wow factor.

It's a busy day running about for collections, but it's better than me battling alone in the kitchen.

You are looking at a feast of 小笼包 (from SHC)，pen cai with sukiyaki pot (from Yummy Palace) and steam chicken (from Soup Restaurant).

The pen cai had more ingredients hidden beneath, duck's feet, pork belly and lots of lotus roots instead of cabbage.

Reunion dinner was great with PapaVoo's siblings though we forgotten to take a group photo.

My $7 taiwan mini pomelo (from SHC) were almost flawless.

Palm sized with weight.

Very juicy and we had a great time eating this after reunion dinner.

小姑 washed most of the dishes for me, really saved my life.

Close to mid-night, we had a Zoom session with some new made friends from KL which we had never met in real person.  It was a very special countdown, PapaVoo was beaming like a small kid.

If our friendship can out live Covid, we would pay them a visit or vice versa.

I think it's a norm for me to have leftovers for brunch while the guys had Mcdonald's.

This was actually good left from the treasure pot.  Duck's feet yummier than chicken feet sia.

Our Melaka small boy is almost like our god son.  We had steamboat together and he slept over.

This short video was taken by PapaVoo, he is now better than me liao.

The table was so good with major items from Angliss.   Apparently, the restaurant small boy works for also takes supply from them.

Cheap and nice abalones, melt in mouth beef shabu, PapaVoo's bean skin rolls, my kids' fish dumplings...
