Ham and cheese a bit messy.
By the time I woke up, old man just came back from his routine walk every Sunday with Jack Neo's organisation.
Had tea together, talked a bit.

Newly opened Brother Bird croissants in Tampines One.

Went interview.  Had only red court shoes leftover from Clarins.  The heels were gone before I knew it.
Then it started to open mouth.  Had slippers with me was the most clever thing I ever did.

The interview was more like a job introduction, so I was in.  I got the job!

Anyhow search online and found a dinning place for PapaVoo's birthday dinner.
We used to go HDL.  But not sure since when, we went so often that it became a dinning option in normal days.  So we needed a new place for a new experience and special feel.

Food standard slightly better than Jack's Place but quite ex we felt.

2 tablespoons of asparagus was $12.

Nice beef steak.

Visited Darren who's on his short term job.
While the job demanded zero skill, standing whole day was a killer.

Went Oakwood with some durians.

We had chilli crab feast.

Happy Birthday Peter Voo.

First day of work at Isetan Scotts.
Water point and washroom were just a few meters away.  We could use the escalators and elevators without passing through security checks.  We could carry handbags (some even had big tote bags) into the sales floor. With literally no restrictions, the best mall I ever worked in.  It was extremely quiet without shoppers.  So I was paid by just sitting down.
The only downside it was very far from home.

Meal at food court was almost $10.

Was wearing a pair of pretty heeled mary janes which send my ankles to hell.

Bought my lucky charm along.

Gentle reminder to myself:
"You are here to work, not to make friends."

One auntie talked to me a lot.  She was friendly but I guess we had generation gap lolxx...  She didn't know what's Michelin though she told me she's a foodie.  She didn't know what's northern lights though she mention she love to travel.
We should just smile and say "hello" and "bye".

Bought a 900ml water bottle for work.  Looked like a giant baby milk bottle, so cute de.

Love the rubber padding at the bottom.

Precious nua day at home after 2 work days in a row.

Ham and cheese again.

Bought durian crepe cake from Wang Lei.  It came in a enormous foam box.

Kept half for old man and myself, the other half told him to give his office pantry to share the calories and cholesterol.
Super sinful, super yummy.

Dinner at Sanook Kitchen, satisfying, just that the fish wasn't too fresh, but still good in the thai lime spicy sauce.

Old man bought a bag of lantern festival old school cookies for his walkathon mates.

Bath father day.  Ta bao to Oakwood.

Nephew and helper enjoyed lunch.  Their first time trying "Eat 3 Bowls".

After lunch and the back breaking bath, went back home.

Dinner we went round market.  Had one of the best zhi char ever.

Savory beancurd.  Softer and smoother than tofu, topped assorted crispy bites.
So delicious, I would be back again.

Sambal veg with prawns.

Even the oyster egg was special with fluffy omelette.

Drove pass rainbow flats with a rare sight of blue sky (for less than a min than it was back to usual grey again).

At Jewel, brought old man to try Ipoh Town Cafe.

Curry noodles... we just preferred laksa.

Coconut pudding.

Nasi lemak was still the best with juicy big fried chicken and sambal so good that we had to pay $1 for extra serving.

The other time NaiXue Tea just opened and there was a long long queue.
Now no queue and there's a promo!
Milk tea was nice like another other brands, the freebie was great haahaahaa...

Proceeded to my purpose of coming to the airport - sunflowers.  Old man glued onto his phone, I almost wanted to send him to his car.  So technically I was alone taking the following photos:

Old man finally caught up with me, after this photo, went back liao.

01/12/2024 Other than the NTUC supermarket, Singapore Pools had the most business.  Why people keep trying their luck when the odds are so...
