Me time and dinner with friends

Precious Me Time at Millenia Walk before dinner with friends.

First visit to Meidi-Ya.

It's so big and bright.

Looked as good as Donki's.

Items that I never seen in Donki.

Almost bought this.

A mix of Japanese and local products.

But soon I found out that the prices were marked much higher compared to Donki, no wonder there's no crowd.

Mouth watered at the wide stretch of beef selections.

Bigger than my face cabbage.

I bought only a few items, actually wanted to buy more, but put back after counter check the prices online.

I was moving slowly, time was dashing, dinner time with friends at Morganfield's.

Their onion rings were gorgeous!

I ordered a steak cos I can have ribs anytime I want at home

Candied bacon was difficult to stop, gonna make some at home.

One of my Xmas gift, Pikachu 3D LED night light.  Oh gosh, I am so in love with it!!!

It's so cute!  And it's so nice to have it by the bed.

Finally gotten the green card to visit my father, he very poor thing de suffered so much.

I went back home to cook a simple meal.

Mala lobsters which I added in tau pok, brinjal, noodles and unseen beer.

Classic and truffle XLB.

Half the beer went into the mala lobster and half into the mug.

We had nacho chips and crackers for dessert, both from Angliss.

Then I realized that a packet of bonito flakes were missing from my Meidi-ya shopping.  It must had dropped out without me knowing, dropped where I also dun know de, haiz....

Nightmare ahead....

3pax Bolognese spaghetti for dinner.

Pan fried 2pcs of foie gras but I think the heat was too high and the sear wasn't even.

With karaage chicken and iberico ribs, enough liao.

Date: 15/12/2020 (Tues)

Carrot cake from SHC, not bad but not wow either.  Don't have sweet sauce, so I used dark sauce.

My old father was hospitalized again.  But we were not allowed to see him.  My kid sis was worried sick literally, I don't know how hard she had cried, haiz....  Anticipating a nightmare ahead, I was so dead that I couldn't be worried.

I went Daiso to get some ready made gift wrappers, then ate dinner with PapaVoo at Sushi Express.

There were about 2 or 3 couples in front of us, waited about 10mins ba.  Any longer I would rather go home and eat instant noodles.  Behind us was a snake queue, I can never understand why ppl don't mind to waste time for it.  The food is just average.

We sat at this edge, it's so difficult for us to get food from the belt.

First time eating boiling ladies fingers, it came with sesame salad sauce which surprisingly went quite well.

A last min lunch for 宝宝, Luis and me.

Anyhow fried egg, teriyaki salmon and boiled spinach.

Kid sis was very stressed up, told us she quarreled with the medical staffs without hiding.  It's so unusual of her to behave so aggressively, I know she is mentally in trouble.

Bought dinner at the coffee shop.

Fortunately there isn't much food in the fridge, won't be able to cook much already.

Xmas Feast again

Cooked up another Xmas feast to treat little Ber.  Had to do early cos I worried closer to Xmas might not have time.  I was having a bad feeling all along, it's as if Dec was too smooth sailing...

Most items from Angliss, heehee....

I overcooked the brussel sprouts.  Baguette from BreadTalk not bad, fried risotto from SHC not too good.  The rest was pretty good.

Bratwurst sausage, roast striploin and mushroom soup.

My beef looked as if it's dropped into a bird nest lolxx...

Ber gave us a few macaroons, I did a Santa out of it from the icing left over from the gingerbread house.

Inspired to do the same for CNY.

Took a break from the kitchen.  It's raining but we were on the way to the other side of Tampines.

The lightings were very pretty, but the phone cam sucks at taking night lights.

Mookata was great with broth with mild chinese herbs.

The flat BBQ plate was great, food didn't slide into the soup and it cooked meat really fast!

This was so far the best coffee shop mookata we had.  Spicy Thai Thai's mookata was good but on the pricey side.  This Luk Krueng Mookata tasted just as good with a pocket friendly price.

It continued to drizzle, we went home happily satisfied.

Saw on FB, a silly dude, together with many others trying to check into Grand Park Orchard Hotel from 3pm to 7pm, waahaahaahaahaa..... 兴灾乐祸, I am wicked, waahaahaa....

If I am one of the unfortunate customer, I will just go home and email request for a refund or date change sia.  Why gong gong crowd at the lobby, aiyo, sibei 可怜?  I feel sorry for people who's dying to escape from their house, for some reasons or another.  Anyway, this Dec is a very bad timing to step out of the house.

I will wait till next year when all the kids are back to school then make use of my $100 tourist voucher.

Brunch, I made arabiki sausage and scrambled egg, also the last bit of mushroom.  This big plate share with hubby, I couldn't possibly finished this plate of course.

After that I wrapped presents for hubby's colleagues.

The whole family's present wrapping is done by me, really.....

Let him help to fry tofu.

Use korean chilli bean paste with minced pork, tofu and brinjal, the dish was lip and soul smacking good.

Then it took me forever to wash up, haiz...... but nobody is with the ideal of a electric dish washer.

How to cope......
