First tang yuan at home

Shared pie with Darren, my day started at 2pm....

I decided to start on the second wall in living room, the casing made it a more difficult wall.

I made dinner for myself with leftovers, but Darren took my fried rice, so cooked a cup of rice over the stove for myself.....  It rained suddenly, PapaVoo requested me to cook his share last min, I was kinda brain dead and tired, asked him to ta bao and eat himself.....

I was aware that Valentine's coming but totally forgotten about it when this was it.  I am actually a very romantic person, I love it under the moon with roses, sea breeze, Kenny G but I am fated not being able to find that person....  Anyway, not important for an old woman.

What's important was, the wall paper start to bubble, I stick glued under and I hoped I had solved the problem pemenately lolxx.....

Still not done with Xmas coffee lolxx.... Ate with char siew bao from Angliss.  It tasted more charcoal than honey, still good anyway.

  I wanted to get crystal tang yuan which I was sure NTUC had but I was going to try my luck at Sheng Song cos it's nearer to home.  Gotten only one flavour which was sweet potato and I bought another normal one with peanut filling.

Cooked dinner, pre-marinated prawn paste mid wings from Angliss so freaking yummy sia, 边炸边吃。

Typical chinese home cooked food, ate until very shiok.

After dinner boiled the tang yuan.  I made the sweet soup with dried longan, red dates and rock sugar.

The crystal sweet potato ball was really cute but I always love anything with peanut fillings.

And this was my first time preparing this traditional sweet soup for the family.

He can't be alone lolxx....

I went to Prime supermarket at Century Square to get a few ingredients to prepare lunch for the next day.  Long before the "chicken not enough weight" saga, I had avoid NTUC as it was the most crowded supermarket in Tampines center.  I doubt the saga will do any damage as Prime supermarket bo lang one.

Jio PapaVoo ate dinner at Sukiya.  I got a nice beef and salmon bowl with messy green veg.

He had this beef bowl which was too saltish for his liking.

I bought pandan cake with gula meleka at Coffee Bean.  It was $6.90 per piece and $10 for 2.  So I bought 2 heehee.......  Had it for dessert cum supper, I was filled to the brim, burps.

Nice flavor but the texture wasn't as soft as I wished it to be.

Woke up early to cook lunch for 宝宝 and Luis。She very cute, forgotten to bring oranges so she bought me bubble tea lolxx...  Actually as long as she came, I didn't mind at all.

Old man took half day leave, but insisted to eat outside.  I am very convinced that he don't like to eat at home, no matter how good my cooking is.  But weirdly he would sometimes grumble when asked to ta bao.  I asked him what he prefer, he said he is sian either way.

We had tom yum soup which I added in yong tau foo, moo ping, typical broccoli with braised abalones and omelette.

I didn't cook dinner, used the time to scrub the kitchen floor.  After this massive clean, you won't believe it, I found ants on the counter tops the next day.  I am still looking for their colony then I will place poison near it.  The situation now is that there are still one or 2 lonely ants roaming around in the kitchen and common bath, it's very frustrating, hope to eliminate them COMPLETELY ASAP.

Old man and I made it to Yunomori Onsen.  They had Valentine's Day promo so we only paid $69, usual should be around $80+.  He refused to wear the yukata, didn't wanna eat at their cafe, overall he didn't really enjoy it.  I should had guessed it cos though we went together, we were actually separated in male and female baths, so he was alone and he hated it.

As much as I enjoyed the onsen but I wouldn't visiting any time soon cos they required customers to wear masks even during dipping in the onsen which was kinda ridiculous and inconvenient.  I had brought extra mask with me, old man didn't and they were selling $1 for a disposable mask which pissed him off from the start.

The both of us were in a daze after the onsen dips and could drop asleep right there but we needed dinner.

Could relate the pain of babies, they needed milk and sleep both at the same time.

We found a interesting Taiwanese restaurant.

Sweet potato but tasted like yam milk tea or something....

I had braised pork noodles and chicken soup.

Ordered his fav braised intestines.

He had pork chop with fried rice.  The food here were great, finally something better than cooking.

Kinda free now lolxx...

I finally catch up updating my blog diary and weirdly feel a load off my chest, *mini dance in my heart*.  I continued to nua at home.  I think I will make time to go Oakwood.

Didn't cook dinner but I made cocktail, cos old man was pestering -

100plus + Ribena + lychee

I should had put 100plus first to achieve a 2 tone, will try next time.

I made fried rice with egg for the kids and this lup cheong rice from Angliss for old man and me.

I also made minced pork tofu soup but forgotten to take pic.

Kid sis gave me yam cake yesterday, so it's my brunch with leftover abalone and scallops.  Put everything in the steamer and done lolxx..

Saw FB ppl doing egg stand, so I did mine also.

Poor egg "sweating" lolxx....

PapaVoo went out with friends for dinner.  I made sweet sour meat balls and tofu miso soup for the kids and myself.

2pm high tea with PapaVoo.

I had been using the boards separately for many times but it's the first time I used them with the 2 tier frame.  Many should had seen or even own it, old item from IKEA.

Long time never eat stir fried fish from this stall at Blk 200+ Tampines, ta bao for dinner.  Price increased from $18 to $25 and wasn't that tasty any more, yup, last order from us, bye bye.

I will kena one fine day when my luck is used up.....

My little Ber (Darren's gf) came, we had steamboat.  PapaVoo very gan chiong sia lolxx....  So the video was very noisy, okay lah, quite fun also.

 

Mala and tomato soup from HDL packet, groupa slices and shabu meat from Angliss.

I nua and did almost nothing other than basic cleaning of the house.  Told PapaVoo to ta bao dinner while I cooked for myself with steamboat leftovers.

I made Oyako-don and seafood sukiyaki soup.

I finally "catch-up" with my blog updates, heehee.....

It's a good day to sneak out cos everybody was having reunion dinner.

Went PLQ to watch Reunion Dinner lolxx....  Kinda lame but it's FOC using vouchers.

PapaVoo was very gan chiong, but the more gan chiong he was, the slower I became.

In fact he was just overly excited this day.

We settled at Paris Baguette before movies, he had croissant, I had chicken salad.

He gobbled like he never ate in his life, I.............. tried not to look at him lolxx......

Watched HK countdown.

We, nua at home lolxx...  Made cheese toast for brunch.

Dinner I simply heat up spicy chicken from Crystal Jade and also stir fried leftover chicken with dark sauce.

Then I did my nails, troubleshoot again, the top coat got pit holes, filed off and re-do the top coat.

Wanted red initially but chose nude last min.  It looked better in reality with fairy glitters.

After nails was 2am, breakfast Milo with marshmellow.

Took out the tiger swiss roll from the freezer.  It's more yummy than I thought.  Light cream went well with orange jam and the chocolate biscuit balls added crunch to the soft sponge cake.

Totally worth it and festive from Angliss.

To my kid sis's place at Oakwood.

The filter made me looked amazing when in real life just an auntie.

Karsten gotten them from claw machines and he gave me the small one.

Food prepared by hubby and the helper.  I was totally surprised he helped in the kitchen, so I "escaped" to spend time with my niece and nephew.  I didn't want to slog in the kitchen anymore, although the dishes could had turned out much better through my hands lolxx....

Dinner was still good, I ate until very full, heehee...

Wearing new white shoes my kid sis bought me and hooked the orange Karsten gave me on my bag.

Felt so loved.....

Had HDL at Marina Sq with PapaVoo's colleagues.  He was obviously excited, talked non-stop, nobody else had a chance to speak, I tried to stop him a few times subtly but failed, I could only smile in embarrassment.  I doubt he even ate enough.

After dinner we went Donki at Suntec.  Bought a few things and this set of cookware for $39.90 only.

Going to throw away my old 26" pan.
