How to steam ribs like restaurants

Woke up feeling lazy, so ordered Grabfood for Luis and myself.

PapaVoo came back from half day leave suddenly.  We could had dinner out with less crowd on a weekday but I already taken out the meat to thaw for dinner.

Saw this comment for the above post and decided to give that irritating buddha a piece of mind.

It's probably a bot cos not reply.

I really hate it when vegetarians criticize on others' eating habits.  They thought by doing so they sound like a saint but actually sound like a busy body with no respect for others.

PapaVoo brought me to IKEA.

I bought oval plates for big fish and small fish lolxx...  And a egg cutter.

Dinner done.  You are looking at breaded crab claws, prawn and cheese rolls, steam egg with dumplings and steam pork ribs with fermented beans.

Learnt a secret from SHC Live Demo......... soak ribs in ice cold water for 15mins and pad dry before marinating.  And there you go, home cooked with restaurant standard.

The steam ribs from dim sum restaurants often came in pathetic portions, so this big plate was like bestowed from heaven.

Nothing special about the crab claws, felt like eating flour.

Didn't really fancy the prawn and cheese rolls either.

Homecooked thai steam fish as good as outside

Cooked  Cajun chicken for Luis.

I dried out the chicken (again) but luckily the taste was ok.

Dinner we had king crab with tobiko mayo, korean short ribs, butter seared salmon and oyster mushrooms and omelette with rainbow veg.

After the previous enormous spring onions, he bought enormous ladies fingers.

Used up my last bit of sambal from SHC to stir fry the ladies fingers, hubby love it so much.

My steam seabass in thai sauce was on the point.  I was kinda worry that hubby wouldn't like it with coriander leaves but it worked out to be as good as any thai eateries.  I watched a few Youtubes put them together and made it the way I preferred.  If my baby sis is here, she is going to love this to death.

Citrus tarts as desserts.  Good food more or less give some joy and light to other wise a hopeless and dull life.

King crab for less than $58, oh yeah

PapaVoo came back from the market with a pack of lychee at $1 nia omg.  What a deal, it's sweet some more.  He plucked all for me and I ate like 杨贵妃.

Did lotong, kinda flopped it with a few missing ingredients.  The texture of the rice cakes not too good after taken out from the freezer.  Will do it again but not any time near.

Bad dinner was compensated with more lychee, almond pudding, jap milk biscuits and cold ice lemon tea.

Lazy porridge dinner with cold bitter gourd, teriyaki scallops (from SHC).

So comforting but I hate the washing.

My brunch with tobiko stired in udon, so freaking yummy.

The alaska from Wang Lei came during dinner time.

The bundle was too good to be true at $58 only!

We gotten this king crab + big fat 800g seabass + marinated cajun chicken, 3 items for $58!!!

SHC was selling a bigger crab at $80 which I gave it a miss, luckily I did.

Thorny monster sia.

Ta bao char siew roast pork rice for dinner, really enjoyed the break.

Nothing changes...

Awesome brioche buns with pull pork both from Singapore Home Cooks Live.

SHC have change the way we eat and make my cooking very fun.  I know for those who cooks everyday cook until sian, but never with SHC.  They sell ingredients and new products so that we can prepare a good variety of dishes easily.

After this late breakfast, I cleaned up the house.  PapaVoo was excited over Polling Day, while I don't feel a thing, cos I know nothing will change.

My kid sis was helpless with the seabass I gave her, so I had to go over and cooked it for her.

I gave her 2 choices of HK steam or Thai steam, she opted for HK. 

So there, I managed to get it close to restaurant standard.

She bought frog legs and gong bao sauce which I gave it a whip.

Accompanied PapaVoo till about 2am, then went to bed.

I woke up to pee around 4am and this was it.

I doubt I will be able to see any changes in my life time.

I found a way to feed my kids with veg

Effect of CB Phase II surfacing with increase of community cases.

COVID is here to stay.  It's so unfair to ppl like me.

First and last time ordering food from Ezbuy, they took one month to come and I almost forgotten this order. 

Ribbit milk tea was too cute, the taste not bad though no wow factor.

The pic on package and content very big difference.

Too small and very pathetic.

The taste wasn't too bad but still couldn't help to feel cheated, very cheated, so will not buy again.

Darren requested for fried rice, so I made a big heap with rainbow veg which the kids ate without knowing.

I need to stock up more of this rainbow veg from SHC.
