A bit of work, whole body ache...

Lunch made something cute, Japanase hambagu sliders!

Came with cheese but I used Donki's.  The bundle not exactly cheap, almost $20.

I topped with quail's egg, so freaking cute.

Cute to look at and very very delicious too, everybody was happy, heehee....

宝宝 supposed to come but couldn't make it, so I ta bao and Luis brought to her.

The tomahawk came, the first thing I did is to put it in the oven, it fit!  Thank god, heehee...

Luis and I called Grab for dinner, 2 packets of nasi lemak from Crave costed us more than $22, haiz...

Made a mistake by slicing the baguette before putting into the oven.  They turned into biscuits lolxx.... 

But breakfast was still good with perfect eggs.

PapaVoo on half day leave, so it was possible to go Fei Zhu Lok Lok before 6pm.

Snow beer omg....

$20 of skewers with $1 instant noodles.

Went home early, but I was heavy headed with beer, lie on bed for an hour before returning to normal function lolxx....

Wanted to pack the storeroom, some how my hands moved to the storage display cabinet instead.

By 11pm, everybody was hungry, so we made supper.

First try on Indonesian's mee.  Somebody gave hubby one.  It's crazy delicious but was $20 for 4 portions, a bit ex leh...  It came with 4 bundles of fresh noodles, fried onions and dried prawns, fried lard cubes, lard oil, chilli sauce, diced chilli and a big tub of minced pork with gravy.  Should had taken a pic urrgg....

I brought down all the rubbish from the cabinets and threw many things away, most were empty boxes and found more than 5 hand phones belonged to Luis, urrrggg....  The packing up created a mess at the living room, slowly but sure will get done.  Used to such a easy chore, now it's so tedious, whole body ache, nobody understand how body ache feels...... haiz....

Went out noon to pass bread to a friend, then bought back lunch.

PapaVoo found Mingo ice cream in Tampines, so we no need go all the way to Changi Village liao.  He bought only 10 cups, should had bought 20 lolxx....

Prata with egg and canned curry chicken for lunch for the kids, don't complain, mother tired.

Really tired de mother, dinner ta bao mala pot.

It's so crazy cheap, so for the first time bought a tomahawk.  I will die if it couldn't be fit into my oven.

PapaVoo now on English class every Tues and Thurs evening after work, so Wed would be an official favourite day to cook dinner.

Turned striploin to stir fried beef.

Turned cod loin to pan fried cod with HK sauce.

3pax dinner completed with kimchi tofu soup.

$50 home cook platter, heehee....

3 giant legs for $7, I simply couldn't let it pass.

It's actually so huge that both my kids couldn't finish, so I took a portion from each of them, 3 of us 2 legs just nice.

Let me make a calculation on the cost:

Tomato soup - $6

Mushroom - $2

Foie gras - last pcs

Roasted tenderloin (180g) and seared ribeye (250g) - $20

White asparagus - estimate $7

Roasted white potatoes - less than $1

Cheese macaroni - $6

Morel stuffed escargot not in pic - $9

Total works out to be $51.  Not bad leh for 4pax, though I hate the washing.

Peace at the distant

All along my kid sis is poor in organizing, even the smallest event meal gathering.  Other than setting the date, things will just go wrong.  Last mid nite, she could suddenly request me to get balloons and do goodie bags for my nephew's birthday.  To worsen further, I mistaken that I didn't have to cook since a friend was bringing some food, ended up I had to.  Her self was tied up in a full day course.

The best thing was to do whatever she need help at.   A few years back we had a massive quarrel, ever since then, I kept a distant, we do talk but not as much and I had to filter through my brain and reconstruct the words before letting out.  It's kind of sad but it's better this way.  少说多做 is gold.

I had to wake up slightly earlier to get to Tamp One.  Was lucky to be able to get everything within the mall.  Went Daiso bought some sweets and brown paper bags as goodie bags.  Also went to a Korean store to get more tibits.  Followed by balloons.  If done earlier, we could had printed his name.

I only managed to take pic with it at my own place, it's so cute!  Made my day.

Price quite reasonable at $39.70.

The paper bag was too big but had no time to get smaller ones.

The goodie bag contents could had been better, but this was the best within the short time frame.

Luckily was only 10 packets.  After that I had a bad headache from lack of sleep.  So I napped an hour before waking to cook a simple stir fry cabbage to bring over.

Nephew had an ice cream birthday cake, her friend brought nice rendang beef and curry chicken.  My fish balls and stir fried cabbage went along well.  Just a pity that I don't have a single photo for his little birthday party, haiz...

Second trip to 肥猪 Lok Lok but it was closed -____-|||

We were back to 18 Tai Seng again, this time had chicken rice.

Although it's One Michelin Star, it tasted quite norm to me, nothing to wow about.

Kid sis send me fruit juice, nice of her to acknowledge my efforts.

Moving around to Oakwood and Tai Seng.

Weather very hot nowadays, when will this heat wave be over?

Sis went staycation.  They had a great time and became local tourists exploring little corners and lanes of Chinatown.  So I came over to see my old father and to make sure that the helper was still sane.

I think it's important to keep her happy so that she can work better.  Bought her bubble tea and snacks.

Then we do litter boxes.

We had some difficulties and giggled like kids, great fun lolxx....

Thankfully PapaVoo came to fetch me after work.  Just let me sit down and eat in peace, I not going the chaotic food market.  Told PapaVoo to bring me to CauseWay Point for teppanyaki which we hadn't ate for years.

After so many years, it's still only one sauce for all, a kid can also do the cooking.  But I am wondering how to create this sauce.....

Lunch for Luis, 宝宝 and me.

We had glutinous rice, abalone siew mai and soon kuay.  Basically the fried rice was for Luis who didn't eat any thing else, stupid kid, 不会吃好料。

Abalone was very juicy when steamed.  Next time if I ever get braised abalones will steam them instead of heating over a pan.

Dinner PapaVoo drove me to Tai Seng in search of a cheap Lok Lok.  It's hidden inside a industrial area, we found it but defeated by the long queue.

Drove out and chanced upon 18 Tai Seng building.  This building poor thing, no name.  It's very small with a few retail shops.  But quite a lot of restaurants and eateries.

Of all, ate something cheap.  吓死人 curry rice so big plate, should had just share this but he bought a bowl of noodle soup for himself.

Bought this face mask for Ber, her small face can fit kid's size, she's going to love it.

How to divorced with love...

How to see each other at work everyday when both are divorced....  He stained his shirt and wiped for him with arm wrapping him, 是孽缘还是情缘.....

Brunch for the kids.  They were crazy over my roasted potatoes, didn't have enough last night so I had to make again.  Make poached eggs so as to use up the lemon cream sauce.

I made myself salmon and broccolini, yummy to the max, then didn't need dinner anymore.

So instead of cooking dinner, I try making kaya.  Failed with lumpy texture.  But taste was great, no problem spreading on bread too.

Any how cook dry ramen for the kids.  Used up all the char siew and noodles liao.  Sometimes I wished these 2 items can multiply themselves in fridge.

Dinner:

Bought from Angliss.

Portion was very little, probably for 1.5pax, not as tender as I wished it to be, cos I microwaved it?  Maybe I try steaming it next time.  The gravy was freaking good, so I will order again.

PapaVoo and I went "waaaaaaaaaaaaaa...." upon opening Angliss prawn dumplings.

They were so fat and beautiful just like me lolxx....

After this pic, we poured in the gravy from the chicken, shiok max, sibei delicious.

I made chicken soup and pan fried the last few lemon grass prawn rolls.

We licked up the last drop of that spicy sauce.  Dinner was great, but I hate the washing, urrrggg.....
