Copping with Covid at home

Okay, Abu Dhabi cannot go liao, binge drama instead - 尚食

One may be confused, are we watching Chinese drama or Korean drama???

I really don't like clothes.  Why do they have to mimick korean costumes when chinese costumes is already so beautiful??

It's also the first time in history, can can skirts are worn in Chinese drama!!!  Face palm sia.

There's a lot of dialogue, sometimes, I catch no ball, no sure whether to continue, now at epd 16.

PapaVoo is very cute, he bought back a lot of "inferior" items, but it's still hard work so I didn't blame him lolxx..... He poor thing but I couldn't stop laughing now.  He bought this Sunshine loaf in red packaging, he ownself eat, ownself say not nice waahaahaahaaa.....  No matter how many times I told him to buy Bonjour bread or Hokkaido milk bread (cost a few coins more), he never listened, I think he get it this time.

This was a cheat, buy 2 normal size get a small size is the truth.  They packed until everything same size, with the tiniest font "Free 100g".

The free box opened up with a small box inside, laugh die me.

Low class marketing made my toes and knee caps laughed.

He knows very well I buy SPAM all the time, he bought Mili so I can't do SPAM fries any more lolxx....  He insisted that they taste the same, I really hor......

Asked him to buy ribs for soup, he bought those kind of odds and ends, cut overs with hardly any meat on weird size bones.  I seriously cannot perform miracle on lousy ingredients sia.    Anyway, this was dinner for Luis at the door.  PapaVoo and I had the same with some greens.

Not able to sleep well in the living room without aircon, woke up numerous times in the morning when PapaVoo was moving around, he don't use earphones, I just died inside out......

I had a tub of dettol solution to wipe where ever especially switches and door knobs.

I haven't even trim the excess wall paper at the skirting urrgggg.....

Luis dinner on tray at the door.  I did give him fruits for tea break.

PapaVoo's porridge meal.

Darren ate on his computer desk, PapaVoo ate alone.  I waited for him to finish before I had mine.

He looked so lonely but I had no choice till the 3 of us test negative again.  If I am down, everybody eat GrabFood liao.  Also it's kinda difficult for me to know the symptoms as I am constantly unwell with body aches and dry throat.  We will pull through 7days together..... 

Can't fly liao.....

Darren's treat Pasta Mania for brunch.

It's so difficult to get out of the house, but once I made the first step, everything started rolling and good.  Went to a neighbourhood salon for a simple hair cut, nicely secured with 2 big air purifier in the salon.

I found a nail salon a few shops away, classic gel mani and pedi $80 nia, so far the best I could find, added $15 for gradient on hands.

Had forest green on toesie.

And watermelon gradient on hands, I like!

PapaVoo came to pick me up, we had zhi char, this steam yellow pomfret with strong flavour sauce and a stir fried veg.  As annoying as he is, he is still quite nice to me actually.

I ordered a pair of home slippers from Shopee, so fluffy, shed a bit of fur but still is good with nice sole.

Cos I saw most cleaning Youtubers wears something cos they said it's better for the feet since we stand and walk long hours during cleaning around the house.

Should I get another color?  Lolxx....

Caramel macchiato, cheese sticks and not so nice banana cake to start the day.

I tried to clear the fridge and stopped buying before flying off, so dinner just look a bit boring without colors.

Mala chicken skewers in China style.

Lamb shabu in oyster sauce, quite a big bowl, everybody started to scope from it..... it was the scariest thing we ever did.

My steam egg was a beauty, everybody started to scope into their bowls.....

Darren bought Oreo ice cream, we were all talking and laughing until.......

Luis msg us with this and he was send back from work.  This, is, the, biggest sabotage ever.  We looked at each other at home and the first thing was to grab a mask.

I don't blame my poor son but it means that I have a series of calls, emails to make to cancel/reschedule EVERYTHING, urrrgggg.......  Anyway, I dealt with these the next day.  Luis was thrown into the bedroom for isolation, he used the common bath, we just stay more than 3m away from him when he walked out.

The rest of us were tested negative but we were so scared of PapaVoo cos he used Luis's rice bowl during dinner, holy shit......

We isolated away from each other, PapaVoo stayed in his room and the balcony.  Darren stayed in the computer room and slept on the sofa.  Myself had my mattress pulled out to the living room.  It was difficult for the both of us to sleep in the living room without aircon.

Air tix yesterday compared with today had a increased by about $100.  Looks like I have to book early.

Made kueh pie tee for lunch/tea break.

One went to work, one went pak tor, old man and I went Jewel for dinner.  Wanted to try the teochew restaurant recommended by Wang Lei, I knew the chance was very low but still went ahead.  As expected sibei long queue.  We went to White Bee Hoon instead, with a queue also but much shorter.

Owndays at the opposite had Demon Slayer frames, I want...... so ex......

We ordered a bottle of tea which we brought back the bottle.

Why is their bee hoon so freaking yummy....

We ordered fish with stir fried bittergourd and behind was sweet potato leaves.

We went M&S and this new shop.

Had ice cream before going home.

Loots from M&S.  I love the cheese sticks, everybody else at home thought it's so so only.  I bought 2 packs of pasta and a talcum powder for travel.

I booked air tix to Abu Dhabi flying on 2 Mar, return 28 Mar.  This would be my longest trip away from Singapore.

Gotten a free ticket to Expo 2020 Dubai, heehee....

After which, there's so much to do:

1) buy travel insurance

2) book pre-travel PCR test

3) obtain vax cert

4) download local app

5) phone roaming

I am happy, excited and nervous, close to overwhelm.

The first thing I did was obtaining the vax cert from Notarise.  I had it in digital and printed out 3 copies (just in case of any weird thing happened).

I was too excited and didn't sleep well, I struggled to wake up and manage to go out late noon to get all these, then PapaVoo came to pick me up.  My baby sis wanted 20 packs of Fisherman and Mopiko.

I bought my daily medication in small bottles (I calculated that I needed 3, at home only have a big one),

- Cleanser (this cleanser with acid not bad, my sons and I share a bottle at home, so I had to buy one to bring to Abu Dhabi)

- Make-up remover tissues and a BB cushion (never have these items for so long already since I hardly go out, but now I am going out and away!).

Did nothing much cos I was binged watching hoarders video lolxx...

I think some are simply lazy, some needs to be thrown into mental hospital.

Dinner was great, PapaVoo bought me smoked duck salad.

Bucked up a bit, I juiced most of the mandarin oranges along with lemon cucumber and carrot.

After that made dinner.  The kids had noodles topped with chicken karaage, minced pork and egg.  Old man and I had less chicken and pork, added with abalones and prawn dumplings soup.

Onsen eggs failed here but the kids had theirs perfect.  It's funny, all eggs were from the same pot leh.

The god damn VTL to UAE will be open on 25 Feb, finally.  I hope it won't flip and close back again.  Or at least close after I flew and landed, damn it.

Looking into Etihad Airways, air tix was cheaper than expected.

I really fear that the VTL will announce "temporary close" again, so I want to wait for a few days closer to 25th before I commit.  Then I was reading through about PCR stuffs and docs, if I missed one doc I gg, if I positive before the flight then big GG.   Never felt so nervous before, but I guess this type of complicating procedures is going to be a norm for at least another 3 years.

I made porridge with leftover rice and minced pork.  I suddenly remembered I still had frozen abalones, so just clear the frige.

I will try to clear the fridge if I find time, meanwhile ta bao dinner, delicious chicken rice balls PapaVoo bought from Toa Payoh.

The CNY decor were down, but I hadn't wrapped up the faux flowers yet.  Feeling very lethargic but I need to get things done and clean the home before I go off for one good month.

Shared pie with Darren, my day started at 2pm....

I decided to start on the second wall in living room, the casing made it a more difficult wall.

I made dinner for myself with leftovers, but Darren took my fried rice, so cooked a cup of rice over the stove for myself.....  It rained suddenly, PapaVoo requested me to cook his share last min, I was kinda brain dead and tired, asked him to ta bao and eat himself.....

I was aware that Valentine's coming but totally forgotten about it when this was it.  I am actually a very romantic person, I love it under the moon with roses, sea breeze, Kenny G but I am fated not being able to find that person....  Anyway, not important for an old woman.

What's important was, the wall paper start to bubble, I stick glued under and I hoped I had solved the problem pemenately lolxx.....

Still not done with Xmas coffee lolxx.... Ate with char siew bao from Angliss.  It tasted more charcoal than honey, still good anyway.

  I wanted to get crystal tang yuan which I was sure NTUC had but I was going to try my luck at Sheng Song cos it's nearer to home.  Gotten only one flavour which was sweet potato and I bought another normal one with peanut filling.

Cooked dinner, pre-marinated prawn paste mid wings from Angliss so freaking yummy sia, 边炸边吃。

Typical chinese home cooked food, ate until very shiok.

After dinner boiled the tang yuan.  I made the sweet soup with dried longan, red dates and rock sugar.

The crystal sweet potato ball was really cute but I always love anything with peanut fillings.

And this was my first time preparing this traditional sweet soup for the family.
