I left my bed later and later as days went by which is not very healthy.

This day was 2.30pm.  After which I worked my way through with house from 3 to 6pm, so much so that my ankle hurts.

But looking at the news, despite of all the efforts, cases were increasing everyday.

I wouldn't be surprise if there's a partial lock down.  So I die die had to stock up 10 days of food.

Went IKEA for dinner.  They were controlling the number of people entering the cafe.  I almost walked away at the sight of the queue.  I gave it max of 15mins, luckily we gotten in within 10mins.

Salted egg fried wings were freaking yummy.  I had lobster pasta but I lost the pic >.<

We bought meatballs, hot dog, frozen waffles and pancakes from IKEA before going to GIANT.

Nothing to panic about yet, so won't buy excessively.  Also when I was buying, I was already thinking if my kitchen cabinets can store them or not.  There's no way I'll leave things on my kitchen counters, EVERYTHING must be kept.

Bought a packet of toilet rolls and other stuffs spending about $130 which is about the same amount I would spend normally if I go GIANT.  The supermarket was actually slightly more crowded then usual weekdays.  Some brands of canned food were sold out but I guess couldn't be too fussy during this period of time.

Came back home, packed until I die.  I was dead on bed and saw this:

Not sure if this would induce another wave of panic buys for idiots.  Glad that I did my shopping and wouldn't had to force myself with the crowd.

Gave myself a break from house work, cooked dinner.  Boiled broccoli, pan fried cheese tofu and steam chicken with chicken essence.

  Nowadays I cooked brunch for myself almost everyday but seldom dinner cos the kids are always not around and my old man also don't really appreciate.  He said I spend too much money on buying groceries (which had really pissed me off but no point arguing farther), actually he rather spend the money on ta bao, so be it.  Shouldn't be complaining cos it's easier and less tiring for me.

I kept a few pieces of the marinated chicken from yesterday's dinner.  

I pan fried the chicken, then cracked an egg and added lettuce, poured the whole lot onto 出前一丁.  Ate at 2.30pm and was too full for dinner after that.  However didn't lost any weight even with one meal a day lolxx...

Oman will be shutting down their airports completely on 29th, my sis decided to stay.  Nobody knows if this is the correct choice.   I just want her to be safe and sound.  God please watch over my poor little cat who's all alone there.

First meal of the day at 3pm >.<

Pumpkin porridge, then I pan fried SPAM luncheon and egg to go with.  This is so good, I need to cook this combi again.

I am secretly hoping that this type of social distant will go on forever.

No more ppl queuing behind me breathing down my neck and no more sitting next to strangers where I want to talk to my family also difficult.  But what about buses and MRT??

It's not working....

A total lock down will cause a lot of inconvenience and panic.  The gov allows the malls to remain open so that people still can purchase what they need.  But from what I see people are taking this from granted.  Die die need to go out, die die wants window shopping.  If this goes on, I think will have no choice but to leave only supermarkets and pharmacies open, the rest close.

Other than my cancelled Japan trip, life is basically the same for me with or without COVID-19.  I am very protected in my own "cave" unless, suay suay le hubby or my son who's working and greatly exposed outside kena and bring home the virus, then it will be 天意 liao, choy choy choy....

Being alive is more important than anything else

It's always tough whenever I stop housework for a day.  I cleaned one fan and change bed sheet on top of other general cleaning.  Was dead beat.

I was craving for Shabu Sai.  Was tired but still went out anyway.  Dinner was rewarding after a day of hard work.

We had 8 plates of meat and 6 portions of minced meat, hit "quota" liao.

It was less crowded, not good for the economy but good for me.  I hate it when every step I walk there's people blocking my way.  Saying "excuse me" it's "rude" to me.  So I drive myself nuts by zig zag walking.

Walked over to Uniqlo to see look.  I will walk into this store even though I have nothing to buy.  Cos I am constantly looking for their sales items.  Great buy of the day $9.90 autumn hoodies:

This is for Luis, PapaVoo bought "Starwars" for himself.  One day, we will travel again, one day.... but don't know when...

I saw on news, Hanami went on in Tokyo despite of local government's advise.  With so much crowd, I predict that there will be another big wave of outbreak.  What a relieve, for the first time, I am glad that I am not there.  Being alive is more important than anything else.

Currently watching 两世欢, cos 大唐法医 was taking forever to load.  Not sure if I will continue with it cos the female lead was a 水性杨花 (slut) toying feelings between 2 guys yet act until so innocent omg....  First week love Guy A, 2nd week love Guy B, 3rd week back to Guy A and repeat, wa lau eh.......  Slap her sia.

两世欢 at least dun have such nonsense.  Any way, my breakfast at 1pm.

Dinner, I cooked pumpkin with oyster sauce.

Pre-marinated bolognese chicken.

That big ball of iceberg lettuce forever cannot finish cooking.

Catching up with housework.  I was out yesterday and did nothing after I came home.

Scrolling down my FB, various pages of Japan popped out, saddens me.  But it's a global disaster which can't be help.

Eileen brought a big pumpkin over.  I cut half to my sis and her neighbour Jennifer.

So you will be seeing me doing pumpkin dishes in the next few days.

We had a small celebration for Karsten's birthday among a few of us.  My father is not doing too well, short of breath at times, but there's nothing we can do and my sis is really stressed out.

Sappy could perhaps give a bit of comfort ba.

We stayed in Oakwood the whole afternoon before leaving for dinner.  We went Pasir Ris Hawker pinning high hopes that Wild Olive's queue would be shorten.  But no sia, people queuing.  No COVID-19 or whatever virus can kill a Singaporean's passion for queuing.

I ate Prawnaholic which was gonna to be my last.

It's $8.50, I feel that it's a bit over priced.  The pic at the stall shows an onsen egg but I wasn't given.  I did ask but they say no.  The owner/stall keepers' faces were really black to the extreme, did somebody die or something?  I had always said, if you are not happy with your job or business, then quit.  If you still want to work, then do properly.  Don't show off your temper when working especially when dealing with customers.

Some people will say they have no choice but to stay in a job they hate for blah blah blah reasons.  I mean then blame who if you can't quit??  Yourself right?   Urrggg......

Ate brunch while video calling with my sisters.

My baby sis in Oman who's usually very independent and strong becomes vulnerable now.  She's rather upset to be all alone and now she's working from home.  So we have to keep talking to her.  It seems that she is considering flying back.

After a few tries of calling and trying to get things done on the website, I headed to SQ's Service Center at ION.  I was all ready to camp there the whole day.

There was a short queue with more than 10 staffs carrying ipads helping.  One of them came to assist me to cancel the existing flight, retained the tickets with an open date till Mar 2021.  So I "escaped" the queue and things were all done in 15mins.

Initially I thought since we missed Spring, we might make it in Autumn.  But looking at the grief situation in Europe, really have to wait for next year le....

I went for lunch at some Jap eatery at B2:

Gotten grilled eel with a bit of beef.

After lunch slowly make my way to Shiseido since I am not going to Japan any more.

Bought 2 honey cakes (cos the thailand soap finish liao) and a purifying face mask which is damn good for skin prone to pimples.

My stay at ION was really brief and I went back home.  Decided that I should get everything done this day, went to POSB when I was back at Tampines.  Failed the temperature screening, so I stood outside and tried again after 5mins.  I will know if I have fever cos my body will ache and turn jelly.  So I was fine, just warm under this kind of weather.  After getting in, the banker told me I had to wait till the maturity date in Apr before I can "renew" the account, haiz..... damn sian de.

Went NTUC Income.  Surprisingly it's not busy, infact rather quiet.  I wonder why didn't they reply to my e-mail then??

Anyway the young chap who helped me was very friendly.  Made a hotel cancellation claim, and the other one booked through Expedia might have a problem since they never reply to my cancellation.  It's going to be my first and last time with Expedia.

I cancelled my sakura trip to Tokyo/Nikko T__T

Brunch:

Homemade burger which made Eileen flew over by cab for it.  Used Sadia beef patty, cheese, iceberg lettuce, honey seared bacon and sunny up.  All tower up so tall that it's impossible to bite everything no matter how big you open your mouth lolxx...

When Darren came home, I sensed that something was wrong.  So he forgotten to bring his beret and kena scolded very very badly.   Morale and mood crushed to the bottom, I sat beside and hugged him from the back for a good half an hour.  My poor boy :(  I so heart pain....

Brunch:

I had a whole chunk of  pan fried cod fish and boiled veg with konjac rice.

Darren braced up, come back home with a better mood as the "devil" wasn't working.   While I believe ppl who makes life difficult for others will get karma, we will not hesitate to make a serious complain to protect our son from being humiliated, abuse or bullied.

I cleaned up the storeroom, finally can walk in again, heehee...

Went out for dinner cos I need to buy medicine, saline in small tubes and sports tape, all for the coming trip next Sat....  but little did I know I was forced to cancel it the very next day, haiz...

A long queue was behind us after we stepped in at 5pm.

Inside was somehow warm, a electric fan beside our table saved our life.

So yummy, I was soooooooo happy.

Beef stew omelet.

Very flavorful and cheesy sauce, would prefer the beef to be more tender.

Pineapple souffle pancakes were heavenly, like eating sweeten clouds.

Service need to be improved, but will visit again cos the food were great, would like to try other things in the menu.

Saw on Youtube Tokyo snowed and rained, the temperature dropped from 20 to 0.

Weather can be so unpredictable.

Kid sis and family flew to Siem Reap.

The flight was less than half filled.

This news came in while we were having dinner.

I told my sis to fly back tomorrow before the cut off time 11.59pm to escape the 14 days quarantine.  Online and phone lines were all crushed, desperate, she bought another tix to fly back.

My side, I managed to cancel some tours from KLOOK.  Sucia card with open date and Oedo-Onsen with date till end Dec 2020 couldn't be cancelled, so I leave them alone for the time being.  Out 3 accommodations only got refund from 1 with the longest stay.

If the insurance is useless, will cancel it.  Waiting for SQ to cancel the flight.  Quite stress out, as I read so much complain with the way SQ handle the situation.  Not sure how much money I can get back out of $1800.  Sigh, I am so sad.....

Time to look for a job but there's no motivation any more.

Imagine if I am single....

Went Genki Sushi for dinner cos PapaVoo was curious of it's food served by "bullet train".  We went at 5pm to beat the queue.  Everything was fine till towards the end, they screwed up a plate of tempura which never came after an hour.  The tempura finally came after getting the crew to check with the kitchen.  However, what came were normal curled prawns coated with flour instead of tempura.  2 screw up visits were enough....

I enjoyed being alone at home so much that sometimes I imagine how life would be like living alone in a smaller unit.  No more enormous laundry, no more continuous packing, no more pee on the toilet seats, how shiok.  Back to reality...

Brunch was awesome with boiled veg, minced pork and tofu with oyster sauce, under 25mins.

Watching a new drama to kill time.  It didn't manage to let me binge.

I watch it in between house chores while resting and before bed time.

Lunch with Darren.  Nowadays I cook rice on the stove.  The ceramic pot was good, rice cooked within 15mins whereas the electric rice cooker takes at least 40mins.

One of the kitchen cabinet gave way.  It's just a year old.

Paid so much for lousy quality.  We don't think the cabinets can last for even 5 years.

My SQ flight to Tokyo was changed to 10.45pm instead of 5.25pm which means we will land at 6.20am instead of 1.00am.  Blessing in disguise indeed.

Brunch was left over sardine with hell lots of onions, egg and konjac rice.  Also made apple tea.

Very simple, but I was happy.

I ordered a lemonade + tea drink but a chocolate milk shake came instead.  We went to get the correct drink and the milk shake became free for us lolxx...

Had some fun at Pokemon Center.

Then we went Canopy Park and I took lots of photos for the kids.

Love is a beautiful thing, it's ok although they are young, they will learn.

Only a few stalks of sakura.

It was still good, cos they are young.

As long as they behave themselves, I hope they enjoy and cherish their young innocent love.

Our youth can never come back....

Brunch: salad from Maki-San was so filling, yum yum...

Decided to have something sinful for dinner: Mala  Can only have this once in a while cos it will cause my piles to relapse.  I absolutely love and crave food that harms my body lolxx...  No lad, after the torment last, I really watch my diet liao.  I am actually on long term medication to prevent  constipation.

Lazy weekdays

Brunch: sardine with onions + boiled chye sim + messed up sunny egg + barley/purple and white rice porridge.

Non-stick pan always screw up my 荷包蛋 but I was too lazy to use the heavy wok, later very difficult to wash also.

I love my life at home, so much to do (but sometimes too lazy to do), never bored, too contented.  But still I have to force myself to work after getting done with Tokyo (going ahead or cancel).

Dinner, PapaVoo ta bao from Bugis since he went there to collect his trousers.

Eileen and I had lobster rolls, the boys had Wok Hei.  I missed Pints and Pince, but it cost tripple the price, so can't complain.

Darren and I had muffin stacker.  He's on leave till Fri.  So nice to have this big boy to accompany me at home.

Eileen brought Tebby to visit us.  He's such a good old boy.

We strolled with him so that he could pee and poo.

Then he came back very tired lolxx..

He's a sweet old boy, but drooled quite a bit, so I had to dettol and mopped after it left.  Not easy to keep a dog after all, but it's such a loving companion.
